Health care requires a bare bones humane national health insurance for all Americans including those on Medicare All Medicare and SS tax should be replaced by a federal sales tax or VAT payed by all The level of the tax and the benefits of the health care would be decided at the voting boothAll Americans would have an interest to maintains quality care at a reasonable cost Medicare beneficiaries at present have not paid in even 10% of their cost to the system and should not continue with the most expensive care on earth The VAT could also cover SS at some point All other Federal spending would be paid only by the top 10% and half of that by the 1%
