economists are the modern day voodoo priests of ancient tribes.... Keynesians and their ilk yes. Those that analyze and explain experience can help avoid repetition of past errors -- if they're listened to. The latter's explanations might be partially developed with math and charts, but conclusions will be delivered in prose.
