Krugman, Stiglitz and many other top economists say we can easily get out of the fiscal problems Bush and the Republcian's put us in.
The mistake you are making is that Krugman (and Stiglitz) are seeing much deeper into the abstraction of economics than the rest of us.
What Krugman and Stiglitz sees it what Keynes, Einstein, Russell, Whitehead, Feynman, Bohr, Heisenberg, Dirac and Newton, saw that the rest of us don't see. Very complex abstractions. And Keynes was considered the intellectual equal of Einstein and Russell.
Deep abstractions.
Only a few people it the world can see to a certain depth of abstraction. Krugman is one of those! You and I, and certainly not Romney or the neo cons, are in that league.
<<Then we're screwed. I expect a monetary collapse within the coming years. I don't know when, but we've already embarked on that path. And if what you say is true, that there's no chance to move the Fed back to monetary stability as their only mandate, then monetary collapse is inevitable.>> |
