Thanks.>> Check www.snci.com - they do router bench markings. The fastest enterprise WAN router is made by BAY. The fastest enterprise LAN router is now COMS' 3500. The fastest internet router is CSCOs GSR. I would contend that speed is most important in the LAN first and the internet backbone second. Enterprise WANs have all the bandwidth necessary for the time being - hence WAN routing is now a mature industry and slow growing.
