He's at Ben Franklin, getting good grades and swimming competitively so he has his hands full. Wants to go to college in Virginia, W&L, UVA, Wm. and Mary, whatever. All related to his passion for the civil war. Took him to Gettysburgh this summer. An incredible place. It's sobering to know that gallant men probably died wherever you stepped.
I know who my friends are, I can email or call them as I see fit. And info is so easily obtained now, feeds seem hardly necessary.
Dr. Davis is great. I absorbed his program long ago, numbers are stellar, so don't really feel the need to keep up as I know that if something significant comes up, I'll hear of it.
We are bombarded with too much information, much of it worthless. It seems that the key to knowing worthwhile things lies as much in properly filtering out the crap as in learning new stuff. And there's A LOT of crap that needs filtering. |
