Seems that Obama is in good company, since both he and Romney are math challenged. Obama thinks that we can afford to spend $1 trillion more per year than we raise in tax revenue and just print the money with no inflation as a consequence. Romney thinks we can raise revenue by cutting tax breaks and lowering marginal tax rates. I'm doubtful either plan is realistic. But that's why I keep telling you that neither of these guys are the root problem. The root problem is a dysfunctional Congress and an overly accommodating Fed willing to destroy our currency and reserve status to fund Congress. If we don't solve those problems, then it doesn't matter who is President. Neither Romney nor Obama will succeed with Congress and the Fed as is.
