So retail sales jumped 1.1% last month. If people don't have jobs, if those who have jobs are worried about the economy, then where do they get the money to buy the items such as iPhones etc. Does it look like the unemployment numbers are cooked? Does it look like people feel they are worse off today?

Arm chair statistical analysis devoid of links to the situation on the ground does not have much value.
