I actually suggested that we take the train....better way to see the country. But we were on a tight enough schedule that we had to fly (at the BDX airport on the way to CDG).

When was the last time you were here? They have done a lot to clean up the city. Literally....they have given tax incentives to building owners to scrub down the limestone walls that have gotten so black over the centuries. The city practically glimmers now.

But the river Garonne...I wouldn't swim in that mess. I don't know if it is pollution or just silt because it is so fast moving, but it sure does look murky.
