Thanks for good advice. Yesterday I downloaded a program onto my laptop called "Easy WiFi". If I understand it correctly, it has a data bank on its server with thousands of wifi hotspots around the globe. Most with the necessary passwords to access them. I'm gonna get out today and drive to some spots I know have wifi and see if my laptop will access them from the parking lot. I could have this concept all wrong and I'll discover this today.
