You are just fear mongering...
You are ignoring the law of unintended consequences.

History is rife with examples of them. AFAIK, there are no examples of cases where raising taxes directly led to prosperity.

Former Harvard president Larry Summers said it best, "The government makes a crappy venture capitalist." Of course, Obama didn't listen.
