Sam,

Were the Circuit City Macs the old 6500s or the new ones? Easiest way to tell is whether they had 33.6 modems, or 56k. I included Circuit City in my post because I was surprised to see two 6500s at the Emeryville, CA store. They were actually running, which surprised me. A clerk actually asked me if I needed any help. I'm not taking odds about whether he knew anything about Macs or not, however.

The ones I saw were the old 6500s, the ones before the line was refreshed in Oct. My guess is that Circuit City is just selling out their inventory and won't be carrying Macs anymore unless Apple shows a nice profit this quarter and looks to have some momentum.

Marc
