Why, if you are not a pacifist about these things, didn't you get into a catfight with the poster(s) who linked her obit? Did you ask the poster to ask SI to withdraw the links? Such a request is generally more effective than a third party's. The thing I am seeing is a record of no catfight when more substantial personal info is disclosed but a huge conflagration when someting innocuous appears. An indecorous and boorish catfight in which the privacy concerns you claim are nowhere to be seen. You'll pardon my skepticism.
