Frederick Frank Retained as a Consultant

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1997--Chromatics Color Sciences International Inc. (NASDAQ:CCSI) today announced that the company has entered into a consulting contract with Frederick Frank, vice chairman of Lehman Bros. Frank is a leading health care industry authority.

He is being retained to assist in increasing shareholder value and to provide investment banking and other business consulting services on an exclusive basis in the field of non-invasive monitoring of chromogenic diseases based on color science.

His initial focus will be assistance in the evaluation and negotiations related to the company's business plans and potential agreements for the global distribution of the company's non-invasive Bilirubin monitoring device.

"We are pleased that Frank will be assisting Chromatics in the structuring of the company's commercial marketing of our medical products and technology," stated Darby Macfarlane, CEO.

The company is engaged in the business of color science and has developed technologies with medical applications involving the detection and monitoring of certain chromogenic diseases. These technologies also have other applications including the scientific color measurement and classification of human skin, certain color-sensitive consumer products and in determining the color compatibility of such skin and product color classification for use in a variety of industries including the cosmetic, beauty aid and fashion industries. The company's common stock is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol "CCSI."
