Some relevant news for celluar/pcs plays - from profit warning of DATM:

<<The Company has indicated that order flow from some of its major customers continues to indicate a slowing of PCS and Cellular deployment, which the Company believes to be temporary, but which is adversely affecting this quarter's shipments.
As a result, the Company now believes its fourth quarter revenues will range between $21 million and $23 million. The Company indicated that at this point in the quarter, it is difficult to estimate a close range on earnings but, based on the current revenue outlook, it believes that quarterly operating results will be approximately break-even. For the year, the Company believes revenues will range between $113-$115 million, up approximately 25% from the prior year's $91.9 million. Earnings for the twelve months should be approximately $0.90 per share, which would represent an increase of 96% from $0.46 in 1996. For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1996, Datum reported revenues of $27,497,000 and earnings per share of $0.23. >>

Certainly not good news for Motorola, NT, LU and even Qualcomm!
