So, the customers are sold on Avid's products, and are no doubt buying them. Perhaps someday the stock price will follow.

(Avid's) ''Media Illusion also blows the competition away in terms of compositing,'' continued Mendoza. ''In a recent spot we did for Panasonic, we worked in concert with another company that was using a high-end compositing system. The other system managed to get only one shot completed in four days. Using Media Illusion, we were able to get the remaining 15 shots done in two weeks.''
