No, it is not automatic. In fact, if DELL's price at expiration is exactly 90, they expire worthless. If DELL's price is considerably more than 90, then the holder of the call is certainly going to exercise the option or sell it to someone who will. If DELL's price is only marginally higher than 90, then it may not be called away, for instance, if brokerage fees would exceed the profit generated.
