Hi Steve,

Why would the execs at Novell ever allow the company to be sold? They are sitting on the goose that layed the golden egg. Hire a new patsy to take all the blame every so often, fire him, then collect $10K a week until they can't justify killing any more time. Then on to the next round. Don't bother buying stock on the open market to pay off employees when they can just print up a few million extra shares in the back room. Form a start up then send all the VPs across the street with big fat bonuses and call it restructuring. No buyer in the world would keep these guys on if the company were bought out and they know it. It would take a hostile take over of epic proportions to get them to turn loose and I don't think anyone wants it that bad.

I think Schmidt started out honest until they took him up on that mountain and showed him the kingdoms of earth. Hope he got a good price for his soul.

Regards,

Don
