My anecdotal knowledge which comes from some personal stories I know, as well as a 60 minutes or Dateline show, not sure which, says yes, their benefits overall were better.

Most of them had at least partial benefits because they were full time employees. Apparently WMT does not give 40 hour weeks to most employees, and that disqualifies them for healthcare. Again, I have never worked there, but HAVE worked in social services and known many parents, mostly mothers, who worked in WMT's, and heard their stories.

One story would be suspect, but story after story tends to tell me they are fairly accurate.

I don't have any issue with WMT, other than that I wish I bought it when their bribery thing in Mexico happened. I should have known everyone bribes in Mexico, and it wouldn't be a blip on their radar. I want to own what makes me money, including MO. That doesn't mean I don't feel badly that people are dying from the product.
