Duncan, It is just a rare case when Roth IRA conversion would work. I can't help feeling that the brokerage houses intend to use conversion as a reason to massively rejuggle portfolios. Good for their brokers, of course, but why pay all that tax early? Best regards (and I sold my Cisco too early, just like that damn AOL!!! I've got to get a little more staying power.)
