You probably recognized that by sight anyway. I came up there from South Jersey once in a while after I got my license back in '69. Took 95 to the Elizabeth Gothels bridge to Staten Island then across the Verazzano to the Belt Parkway to visit people in Sheepshead bay. Actually lived there when I was 18 for a couple of weeks and worked in an auto supply store to keep busy until New Year's eve from 69-70. Packed crowd at Times Square as usual. One lady was giving birth in the crowd and pushing people apart to make room for her was no easy feat. I felt at least 3 hands slip in and out of my back pocket. I had the sense even at 18 to have my wallet inside my coat's inner pocket, zipped up.
