I am following North Carolina a bit more closely. Demographics, trends look favorable to O.

I exported data from this site to excel and found that there are 1606824 more democrats than Republicans. Also there is a huge chunk of Unaffiliaated voters ( 3386550 of them). Not sure which way they lean

Key to winning NC is GOTV from Obama campaign which they seem to doing ok so far. However Romney is doing much better than McCain in 2008, but still lagging Obama. Let us see how this plays out.
