The premium of the MiniPad over the Nexus 7 is marginal at best. The Nexus is much higher on the Andoird food chain than the Kindle Fire, I'm sorry to say. No; $329 a ridiculous price.

I'm with you on the pimped out Civic analogy. Few people pimp out their Civics.

You're just not getting it. The iPhone 5 can sell for what it does because it is carrier subsidized.

A 7 inch tablet can not sell for $329.

In the end though, I suppose this boils down to a strong difference of opinion over how much people are willing to pay for a large phablet that you can't make phone calls with, and as such isn't subdizied under contract.

That is how people view 7" devices.

I completely and absolutely disagree with your assessment of that people will go for this $329 price.

Its a non-starter in the category, to which Apple is a newcomer to a competitive field.
