"Same with safety at a nuclear power plant." No, it's not really the same, Ten. Any engineered project, whether a bridge or a microprocessor, has a design life always less than 500 years. Nuclear waste will be deadly for hundreds of thousands of years. Modern HUMANS haven't been around for hundreds of thousands of years. No civilization has survived for anywhere near that long. Although nuclear needs to be part of the mix, because of the waste, it should be as small a part as we can make it.
