Some random thoughts (directed to nobody in particular)

BARRONS:

Sony is 2 1/2 years behind.. enough said. The author is obviously
jealous of the of people who have made a ton of money on this
stock...

DRILLERS / OIL

It's important to be careful here. These stocks are mistaken for
growth stocks when in fact they are really cyclicals. You must buy
these when everyone hates them. GLM was the 2nd stock I ever owned,
and I bought it for 3 3/8! At the time, people HATED oil!

GAMBLERS RUIN

The gist of this theory (and how it pertains to us here) is that a
gambler will always leave the casino broke, even if the odds are
50/50. If a gambler plays long enough, he (she) will eventually hit
a losing streak so long that he (she) will go broke. The gambler will
always go home empty.

(you know exactly what I'm talking about! Most people don't leave the
table when they are ahead.. They'll wait until they lose all their
money, then leave!)

Traders can fall into this trap. They keep 'playing' for greater and
greater stakes until eventually the 'big loss' occurs which erases years of gains, at which point they swear off stocks forever. Discipline is key!

have fun!
