It strikes me that they're likely having an extremely rocky divorce with Samsung - and anything with an LCD panel in it just had to be re-sourced in a hurry. And yet they felt they had to announce before it was all rock solid. Curious.
I don't think Samsung has stopped supplying panels to Apple yet. They do have to perform on their contracts, after all. No, I think we need another theory to explain this.
