> NEW YORK, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Futuremedia Plc (NASDAQ:FMDAY) on Monday said it had joined forces with British Telecommunications Plc (LSE:BT) to launched a trial of a net-based service to help organisations manage information.

Futuremedia did not elaborate on the nature of the service, but said it had been developed jointly by BT and Futuremedia over the past 16 months.

In a media statement, Futuremedia, which develops computer courseware, said the project had undergone a satisfactory pilot test program in the United Kingdom. REUTERS

It also said Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F) was collaborating in the trial.

"Based on the results of the trial, BT and Futuremedia will decide how to develop and market the service further," Futuremedia said. REUTERS
