Having to admit that Al Qaeda still exists in spite of his most heroic effort and success at killing its head, bin Laden, would mean having to admit defeat - or at the least - they weren't successful at all in stopping a terrorist attack.

Modern political jihadism didn't start with OBL and will not end with his death. I can understand occasional need for propaganda BS, but I hope that our political and military leaders are not buying into this silly thesis - because if they do, it will continue to cost us dearly.

Good points about Hamas and Hizbollah. Would not be surprising if they had a hand in the events.

Re: the coverup

Axelrod and Jarrett are advisors. It is the President's job NOT to follow unethical or potentially criminal advise.

True that, with direct video, there wasn't much fog of war, but there is certainly plenty of "fog of obfuscation". It is quite hard to figure out what happened, and for many people it's easier to believe in long "investigations" and other stuff pushed by the Administration and the "mainline" media.
