... and BTW, that post with the trade is the easiest to fake
Syl, there is a big difference between misleading by omission and downright fabrication. I think rnsmth is misleading. Indirectly implying that he falsified a trade for the purpose of posting here is just silly, if not insulting.
rnsmth is most evidently smart. Generally speaking, a smart person is not going to allow themselves to get caught in a straight out fabrication. They will provide a string of facts that lead to a false conclusion... quite possibly one that is diametrically opposed to reality.
So, when rnsmth provides information about how much he is up, he leaves out information about which stocks he is up in. He generously provides information about his AAPL options that are still in the money, but no information about his AAPL options that are underwater. A person like this might provide information about their taken gains, while omitting information about their catastrophic unrealized losses.
You don't have to be a genius to perceive when someone is being intentionally misleading.
Nonetheless, I am most happy to have rnsmth with us, because he is not dumb, and fanboy investors who don't see the iceberg ahead are a source of infinite amusement to me. Even the smartest people can do really, really stupid things. It amazes me to see how many there are, on this bandwagon. :)
Its gonna be fun to watch them slowly discover the err of their ways.
