"I received a Microsoft Word document this morning; the notes for Monday morning management meeting, and I can peruse those notes on the touch screen, or edit them with the keyboard and mouse while in the meeting. " Funny, this is either a canary in the goldmine or a complete outlier, but the notes for my Monday management meeting are no longer being emailed around in Word format, by decree of my CEO, who got mad that he could not annotate the document with his iPad. We now use Onenote for our interoffice communications, which is cross-platform.
