pcstel, you seem to be a very confused person, with values that are way out of the mainstream. You should be the last person to be calling koan's family to be dysfunctional. By your standards, Bill Clinton's and Obama's families are dysfunctional. I ask how so because how can you these two from your "supposed dysfunctional" families could rise to be President and your kids whom you consider to be from a non-dysfunctional family did not rise to be President.

You need to understand the difference between wealth and money. Having money does not necessarily mean having money and vice versa.

You don't understand the difference between, science, technology and engineering. Or else you would not have made the statement that your son can go to a software forum to find out how to program something. Programmers are not computer scientists or computer technologists. Similar to lab technicians not being microbiologist or biotechnologist.

A programmer is a hammer and spanner kind of guy. That is what we get when we go to vocational training school. It does not cost much. But to design the Internet, encapsulate it with cyber security etc. need computer scientists and technologists need a college education which costs quite a pile.

And lastly, if you have not heard this before:
If reading and writing were education, then brick and stone would be architecture.
