Thanks for the correction, what I meant to say is that there is no significant competition to the TLAB digital cross connect . . . just listen to any of the LU conference calls and see how much time is spent discussing their cross-connect . . . also note how many questions there are on the TLAB conf. calls re competition . . . I'm sure there have been a few and I haven't listened to every minute of every one but I honestly don't recall one in the last two years. The Titan has an enormous installed base that bulls like myself hope that mgmt. will leverage not only with upgrades but with new ancillary technologies that will continue to enable the carriers to cut their costs while at the same time expanding capacity. Companies like LU and the carriers themselves have been trying for years to penetrate this area without any significant success thus far . . . obviously this is all subject to change as these are formidable competitors but TLAB has dominated in the past with far less financial strength than they currently have, and without the installed base they currently have. Hopefully the new software upgrade will give the bulls another stock split to chew on in 1998
