you would have had investors lining up to buy that debt.

Talk about clueless. There were no private investors by then. I guess you were too drunk during that time to remember, but the global economy has seized up. As demonstrated by the Baltic Dry Index at the time, Capemax shipping was almost zero, primarily because no one trusted lines of credit. No one was investing in anything, even safer investments that that would have been.

You are not allowed to have your own facts, i-node.

Just look at a fact checking site. Look at several. The number of things that Romney has just made up far exceeds what the Obama campaign has done. Even if you include, for Obama only, what outside groups have done in his favor.

Romney has based his entire campaign on lies. Often, nothing he says in actually true. If there is some truth in it, he has cherry-picked, distorted or otherwise changed it from what Obama actually said. Case in point, if you read more than the first paragraph of the Bloomberg article, it is made very clear that they were not shifting production to China, but merely restarting production that was stopped before Fiat took over. In one ad, the Romney campaign fabricated a speech by take out of context sentences from several speeches on different topics and pretended that it was an actual speech.

Romney has taken every possible side of every issue he has talked about. Sometimes in the same speech. Other than cutting his taxes, who knows what he will do? When he releases vague details, he usually winds up changing them. And that is when he says anything but "trust me".

This is a fundamentally dishonest man.
