He's the guy who fought for iPhone having a real OS instead of a stripped down toy embedded system that the rest of the company was fighting for. No Forstall, no App Store, and who knows how big a negative impact that would have had on the iPhone's reception. Can we acknowledge all of that and simultaneously acknowledge that he was responsible for the most stagnant portion of the iPhone? The two big features of the last two OS releases are notably underwhelming and Apple has made only minor changes to iOS outside of Siri and Maps. They are now in a position of catching up to Windows/Android in terms of various features. He may have been an absolute genius but his work these last few years has left much to be desired...and all of that is outside of any the personality conflicts that may have been taking place. and on a sidenote, Google's new voice recognition on their Search app kicks Siri's ass. Maybe it doesnt have the "natural speech" component of Siri, but overall it simply works faster and better in terms of getting the information I need. I just wish I could use it for things other than search. Slacker
