>> Inode, if you're reading this, the same question applies to Obama.

I've been very clear I think the reelection of Obama is a disaster for numerous reasons.

The most important, of course, is that we will have another four years without a budget, another four years of trillion dollar plus deficits with no end in sight, and the depression we are now in will worsen as a result of incompetent economic policy. The ACA will get implemented instead of stopped, and unemployment will surge as a result. And business will continue to just what it has been doing -- waiting on some kind of stability to return to the economy which cannot happen until Obama is history. The man isn't competent to run an ice-cream stand.

But there are other terrible consequences. He will follow through with his commitment to Putin to be more "flexible" in negotiations. That means WEAK. Iran will continue doing what it is doing, because they do not fear Obama as they know damned well he isn't going to support Israel against them, no matter what he says. And we could see a re-escalation of terrorism, which GWB had in check when he left office.

Nonexistent energy policy will continue to provide a persistent downward pressure on the US economy, and when the four years is over we'll be that much further away from energy independence.

And we will be closer to a tipping point beyond which economic recovery isn't possible because the debt burden reaches a point where the money available is consumed with interest payments. You can't just keep borrowing $1T+ a year without some pretty serious consequences.

The ONLY thing worse than electing this fool in 2008 would be to reelect him in 2012. I'm amazed you can't see that, Ten.
