Just look at the piece that Mr. Alpert wrote about ASND a while back and then compare it to the COMS article. In the ASND piece Mr. Alpert didn't say 1 positive thing about their future. He even went as far as having some guy from C$CO comment about why ASND sucked. Yeah, that's real credible. Go ask ASND's competitors why ASND sucks and then make an article around it. Contrast that with the piece he wrote about COMS. While he did make it clear that COMS had lot's of problems he put a positive spin on it by saying that COMS was "undervalued". He went on about their cable modems generating $2 billion in revenue (they damn well better! COMS paid $8 billion for USRX and so far all they are getting is headaches). In summary the COMS article was fairly balanced but the ASND article was pure diatribe. I don't have a problem with columnists having clear biases as long as they don't claim to be objective.
