I'm rethinking my analysis of EXC... as you (I think) pointed out, utes that acquire other utes don't fare well and not sure (despite claims otherwise in today's quarterly announcement) that acquiring Constellation is actually a good think for EXC. As a side note, EXC appears to be getting punished not only for mixed quarterly results (profits down, but EPS higher than expected, forward guidance raised), but also for its exposure to Sandy.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm... have never really looked closely at AVA, but based on your post, will begin a close examination as possible ute addition I've been looking for... current short list is ED, PEG, PPL... perhaps adding AVA to the short list.
