This is the kind of action we should expect from big government, not just here but in Europe.

I'm not shocked in the least by Apple's lack of contrition in the first statement, given the fact that there is no precedent for a company having to apologize for losing a patent infringement case. I never really expected Apple to win the case outside of the US, but that doesn't mean they should lose their right to pursue every legal opportunity to defend their technology.
