I have zero use for Microsoft word. Everything at work gets transcribed and the transcriptionist isn't using Word either. At home I use Pages, you know "saving money getting value", on the tablet the few times I want to type something longer than two paragraphs. Have a wireless printer the few times I want to print something. "Numerous other classic productivity app." You mean like the way I can access the hospital's information, PACS for radiology, offices information and billing systems and make entries in all order tests and prescriptions. I can carry around all the references and medical texts and journals I need right on my iPad. Then when I want to play I have a few tens of thousands of app to chose from. How about Surface's app selection? By the way our IT guy can manage and trouble shoot our entire IT operation, which is pretty sizable, remotely from an iPad.
