Thats just great, if you can be just as productive without a keyboard and fine pointing device on your iPad. You truly are talented, unbiased and objective and forward thinking.
Me, I'm biased towards what makes me more productive. If you can get by just as well without, more power to you. You should know, however, that I have an extremely difficult time believing this. Extremely difficult. Incredibly difficult. Oh, let me just say it. No way in hell, are you as productive on a tablet like that. It is impossible. It is a pipe dream. It is a fantasy. It strains all credibility.
There is absolutely no way in blazes, that a tablet lacking a keyboard and fine pointing device is one one-hundreth as productive as a tablet with a tactile keyboard and fine pointing device.
There, I said it. You are as objective as a zero is a one. Your argument is invalid. Touch sucks for editing documents, powerpoints., spreadsheets, etc., and these items are as out-of-vogue in the business world, or for students, as is oxygen.
Even basic note-taking is 100x improved with a real, tactile keyboard. Mabye you can highlight/select/format/copy-paste document text and graphics with your finger quickly and effectively, like I can with a mouse, after running them through a pencil sharpener.
