Which McCain quote are you referring to? Re the oil & gas stuff: The post I linked to was authored by a geologist/manager who worked for SLB and now works for one of the oil majors; he knows more about the industry than anyone I have access to. Agree re regulating fracking before a disaster shuts it down. It should be done at the federal level for simplicity and to ensure coverage of all basins.
