Qualcomm has failed so far, but when they get mirasol going [which they already have done but not in vast numbers], recharging Cyberphones will not be required so frequently. <staying on the cyber theme, the first thing people are looking for is a spot to recharge their cell phone.>

Qualcomm bought Halo for inductive coupling recharging of cars, and the same technology for recharging Cyberphones = just put the device down on the mat with the loops in it and hey presto, it recharges. Such mats could be installed everywhere. Just plug them in. That would be an enormously popular method. Carting around and not losing a phone recharger is quite a hassle. About a billion such mats would be needed. Shops would have them on the counter, and anyone who wants to attract customers. Not having to buy and carry chargers would be quite an improvement and a cost saving. Just a minute would provide a good dose of electricity. They would be as ubiquitous as the mouse pad was.

Yes, digging for gold is still worthwhile because the production cost is only $500 an ounce and the wholesale price is about $1500 an ounce. Digging for oil is still very profitable too. Come to think of it, after I get this dairy factory completed, which should be in the next 18 months, I must resurrect my novel oil discovery and exploration method [which has been under development since its invention in 1981 - some things take time].

I have a secret location in New Zealand to dig an exploratory well so I should get on with obtaining the necessary licence. It should be worth about $1 billion but it could well be a giant field = Katie bar the door.

Meanwhile, the price of gold just a month before my 31 Dec 2012 sooth of $1727 is right on the money, for the fourth year in a row. I shall issue an official gold sooth for 31 Dec 2013 and 31 Dec 2014 in January. Preliminary studies show some interesting prospects.
