There is absolutely no way in blazes, that a tablet lacking a keyboard and fine pointing device is one one-hundreth as productive as a tablet with a tactile keyboard and fine pointing device.
You do understand that keyboards have been available for iPads since the very beginning, right? There are some very nice ones out there. And in software that has been written for a tablet, there's no need for a pointing device any finer than a finger.

But I guess what you really mean by the above is that unless a person runs Microsoft Office, that person can't claim to be productive. And that's kind of a silly thing to say.
