Philips calls it the world's first LED light system that works with the web
I got 4 of those as part of the KickStarter project a few months back.

They raised $1.3mm (from an initial goal of 100k) and have many technical advantages over the HUE bulbs. Apparently they've just signed on with a major manufacturer…
