The Republican Lower House of Congress has spent trillions over the last ~2 years, NOT Obama.

In a sense this is true, Congress authorizes the spending. But then the president has to sign it, and the Senate is controlled by the Democrats. And most importantly its recently (and in many but not all times in the past), mostly been the Democrats pushing for more spending.

The media isn't "left."

Sure it is. There is explicitly conservative media, and there is explicitly liberal media, as well as media supporting other ideas. But subtract out all the media that openly supports one a certain political group or ideology or party, and what's left leans to the left.

As for outbidding, big government (sometimes allied with people you would call "big capital" sometimes not) can outbid anyone (and also enforce its will without having to bid, it makes laws, and has prisons and guns).
