There are a couple of negative comments the suspicious side of me has found:

1) Several sources claim that capital spending will be flat or down in 1997. One analyst even raised his estimates for 1997 due to this factor. It makes me wonder why they can't keep the fabs busy with profitable chips next year (or build new fabs).

2) Fidelity Magellen has bought a lot of Intel. This has no effect on the company, but it tends to drive the stock price down quickly when they decide to sell (as in Fall 1995).

Overall, it looks good. Q4 should be the best quarter ever.
