The left has won just about all of the social issues. The left has basically been more persuasive, and skillful.

Contrast that with idiots on the GOP side (Akin, Murdoch), who has not persuaded anyone. Instead, made GOP radioactive.

Ann Coulter has made a great comment in the past about Santorum. She said that even though she agreed with him on many issues, the way Santorum presents them, she wants to disagree with him just because the way he is presenting the issues.

That's what many social conservatives have done. They have presented their side in such a clumsy way, that they in fact set back their social conservative agenda back, handed their adversaries huge victories.
