Thank you, Frank. If you have to ask this question, please first get on Nasdaq trader site to look over all their data.

Once you do, then you understand market makers call the price. When you buy or sell they offer you a price. The volume and price relationship is in their heads. It depends on balancing the trades. So many share to be bought and so many shares to be sold. If it is balanced, the bid and ask prices do not change. If there are more buyers, the borrowed stock they sell will have to have a profit. $2 move on a $20 stock is normal. If they have to buy from you then the price pull back is about the same.

Yesterday, many stockholders took profits. The ask volume never reached a $2 move. It ended up with a $1 3/16 move. Which ain't hay either.

I think next month's short interest may show a decline. Under this new economy, market makers generally buy back when price moves up.
