The new economy and the denude zone on Silicon wafers?

Submicron technology reached a stumbling block with the resistivity limit in Silicon wafers. And the new economy stalls because of yields of good cpus failed to bring profits to the semiconductor houses.

Now comes this technique of gettering (removing inpurities) called denude zone. The technique is fairly simple and has been used with great success except no one designs the depth of the denude zone. It came with the oxidation process. By oxidation, the out diffusion of impurities can be calculated and the depth of purified silicon layer is known. The out diffusion can improve the purity by an order of magnitude. The impurities are stripped off with the oxide. Then you process the silicon wafers again to the (an order of magnitude smaller) submicron rule that you have.

CPU yields will improve and the new economy will be saved.
