Hi Chip, I agree. They need to shake the religious right and their fanaticism over abortion and other out of touch beliefs. Even if not to the religous rights liking they will be the closest party to their beliefs. Young people today accept birth control as SOP along with abortion if needed and hopefully not needed. The Republicans must embrace the hispanic vote. The Repubs are a declining demographic of old white people. Romney must be the last rep of our generatiopn. It is time for straight speaking young republicans to broaden their constituency. Rubio,Jindahl and Christie are the type of solution based straight shooters we need. After we get soaked with taxes and health care expenses - the working class will be ready for a uniter that controls the social safety net and offers a tax cut in 4 years. Most lower income people forget they got the greatest of tax cuts inittially with Bushes tax cuts. i.e capital gains rate for lower income people (young savers) is 10 %.When it jumps to 20% - they'll go HUH? We've been there done that before eh? Bob
