I might check out the site. I generally check out articles linked from here: realclearscience.com They have a fairly wide selection of articles there. Some off the wall, some have a lot of political advocacy, many are free of that. The problem with some science pet causes and their political advocacy, it is not that conservatives instinctively oppose them because they are science, and conservatives hate science, it is because the government is already overextended and broke, in no position to take on more commitments. That's just the reality that conservatives recognize, liberals are in denial of that. As far as the list that i-node posted, it got 18 Recommendations in 2 hours, and majority of posters here are conservatives.
